Tiger Jazz Bands

The Tiger Jazz Bands are elite ensembles comprised of many of the top musicians at Spring Woods High School. Membership is by audition only. Students must be a member of the band to eligible for membership (non-band students may audition for positions that cannot be adequately covered by band students). Students in this class will learn music, styles, theory and history of Jazz through playing and hands on composition. The Jazz Bands have a very busy performance schedule throughout the year. Often functioning as musical ambassadors for SWHS, they frequently perform at Jazz Festivals, public performances for elementary and junior high schools, civic functions and other events. 

Jazz Orchestra
The Jazz Orchestra was very successful and competitive in all the competitions they attended. Receiving straight ones at  the University of Houston Jazz Festival.

Trophies earned by both the jazz bands this year. What a success!
